Position: VP – OPERATIONS
In partnership with Company President oversee all operational aspects of the company. Build company portfolio by actively pursuing new customers for continued growth and ensure operational excellence in the management of existing and new accounts by coaching and mentoring the technical team. Identify, cultivate, pursue, negotiate, assess risk and close new manufacturing opportunities for global business. Onboard all new and existing customers in line with company compliance standards. Provide key terms of supply documentation. Negotiate terms. Oversee all USA based accounts ensuring AAG technical staff are providing service in line with AAG Global processes and procedures. Provide support and drive conflict resolution when issues arise to ensure customer is provided best case outcome. In conjunction with global and local leadership team, build and drive strategy for development and distribution of AAG vertical brands. Conduct and analyze market research to determine and enhance overall competitive positioning for AAG vertical brands and brands that AAG acquires in the future. Build cross functional relationship with department head within global business ensuring consistency and cohesion between USA and China/Australia processes.
Req. Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline and 2 years’ experience as Ops/Merchandising Manager or related. Will accept 6 years’ of progressively responsible experience in lieu of BA and 2 years’ experience. Will accept any suitable combination of education/experience. Req. prior experience in the retail apparel industry. Travel: Domestic: 3 days a month – New York, St. Louis. International – China twice a year (7-10 days) /Australia once a year (7 days).
